Great pan for the food/health nut in your family.
My girlfriend is very big into the organic food wave of the past couple years. She's always searching for pan that won't "leech" metals or dangerous chemicals into the food when cooking at high heat. Needless to say, it all goes over my head, but when I buy things for her, I always try to do my research and find the safest products possible. This pan seemed like a good choice and was girlfriend approved, so I did something right!
She uses this pan nearly every day and has very little issues with food sticking to the surface of the pan. Keep in mind, the more expensive, safe pans require a little maintenance work, but it's very quick and easy to do. Obviously this shouldn't go into the dishwasher, and can be simply wiped out with a paper towel/rag/etc. You've likely heard of curing or seasoning your cast-iron pans. Works fabulious
Love that it is light weight and cook grand. Had a different product before but this one works better. When it get hot turn the heat way down and it cooks the right temp.

This skillet works really well, has a nice weight, cleans up nicely. Would be a great gift for a cook.
