Works On Induction Range, Better When Seasoned
. I have a new induction range. It heats only magnetized materials like steel and cast iron. But, it needs to be pretty much full contact with the range in order to heat it - which means no raised lip around the edge. Most grills offered work well, I assume, on other types of ranges, but most all have a lifted edge on both sides, to retain the fat, I guess, but it serves to lift the bottom off direct contact with the range, so it won't work. Most grills do not work on an induction range, this one does.
. I followed the company's video to season the grill. I got the same color marks the video did, but the grill was not seasoned, and pretty much everything stuck somewhere, except bacon. Even using the bacon's fat, eggs and pancakes failed to lift off smoothly. I wanted this to work, not send it back, so I found a method of seasoning cast iron that worked on this, too.
. I put the grill in the oven at 450 F for 30 minutes (thick piece of steel) as I wanted it to be evenly...

such a great griddle. you don't have to be careful cleaning like those with non-stick finishes, yet it is by nature non-stick. Highly recommended.
Awesome Griddle - Totally Satisfied
Pros: We prefer cookware free of man-made coatings, so have mostly stainless steel. However, a residential stove top stainless griddle is difficult to find. This steel griddle is awesome. It seasoned easily and now just requires a light scrub with a non-abrasive scrubber. We use it on a gas range and couldn't be happier - it's perfect.
Cons: None.
Seasoning Comment: The reviewer worried about carbon monoxide failed to notice this was only an issue during seasoning, when you heat cooking oil to very high temperatures. In fact, if you ever overheat oil during the normal course of cooking, you're making carbon monoxide and should ventilate immediately! Otherwise, there is no issue with carbon monoxide when using this griddle!!
