WFM - Wonderful, Fabulous Must-have
I guess I am rhapsodizing over this pressure cooker but it's the 4th one I've tried and I must say I love it!
We remodeled our kitchen and our new cooktop is an induction model so our old (20+ year) aluminum PC no longer worked for us.
I tried Futuro, Kuhn Rikon and some other brand I don't recall. None was both thick enough to prevent food burning and with a simple and easy to use pressure system.
I cook daily for 6 or more and this cooker is big enough to meet all my needs. In the few days I've had it, I've made risotto - no burning, cheesecake - no cracking, chicken cacciatore and brisket. Every recipe was perfect when done.
Clean up is a snap - remove the handle and rinse under running water. Remove the sealing ring and wash by hand. Toss everything else in the dishwasher.
Did I say I love this pressure cooker? Yes, it's expensive but well worth it!

Good pot and a bad cook
I would not have bought this item if Amazon offered this unit for $100, for I've had various pressure cookers in the past that lasted worthy of that much money. What a pleasant surprise; It's been more than 2 years of regular use and abuse, and has not encountered any problem whatsoever. I'd not mind spending full retail price knowing that how well this thing is engineered and built.
Its innovative pressure indicator feature, the thing that pops out, informs user to set optimal heat setting while preventing a possible explosion. Once temperature of cooking matter has reached maximum temperature with full heat applied, usually 30-40% of maximum heat is all that's required to retain highest temperature; this is important if one cooks over 3 hours like I do. Compare to 10 hours of continuous heating at full heat with conventional pot; saves big on utility bill, all precious human time and unpleasant odor left by boiling something for such long time. Pressure relief valve...
This is a wonderful pressure cooker.
This pressure cooker performs flawlessly and cleans up easily and beautifully. This cooker is rather tall, but I like that. If I brown meat or chicken in the pan before cooking, splatters are nicely contained.
This pressure cooker is very safe and easy to use---nothing like my mother's "scary" pressure cooker.
I have called WMF customer service (not because of a problem, but rather with questions re use) and I've found their customer service excellent.
I highly recommend this pressure cooker.
