Coating
When I received my 12" bowl I noticed how shiny it is - so I set about to try to figure out what kind of coating is applied. No product description anywhere mentions it, so I tried calling the manufacturer Winco. The person I got on the phone transferred me to someone who told me that the materials are 93% wood, and melamine and formalin. Wish that were included in the description - I wouldn't have purchased it had I known.
Wonderful salad / prep bowls
I love these light weight bowls. They are the perfect shape for a salad. I also use them for my meal prep work. I have had similar ones for years and years.
good quality and nice size
i purchased this 14" one and a 10" size from the same seller... i definitely prefer the larger size for creating salads... even for only 2 people, a salad usually needs a fair amount of space to breathe, so this bowl works perfectly...
