Oily Tea
When this tea kettle arrived, it had an ominous scent emanating from the spout. I stuck my finger in and scrapped the bottom and my finger had black dry grease on it. I boiled water several times and still the inside is coated with some kind of oil used in manufacturing. If that wasn't enough, the handle is so close to the top of the pot that it will burn your knuckles if you move them at all. Don't bother with this cheap kettle, unless you like your tea with grease.
Good deal for the price
I am ordering a second tea kettle like this because I ruined the first one by leaving it on the stove for nearly 1/2 hour with only a couple cups of water in it. The over-heating caused the cooking grease splatters on the outside to burn into the stainless steel finish. Even though it still works great, it has ugly brown spots on top that I can't remove. Made in China, but decent work compared to tea kettles for up to $40.
Don't bother
Teakettle has a horrible oil like substance / smell inside that cannot be cleaned, the construction is thin and after two days I tossed it. You get what you pay for.
