All-Clad is the best
After watching so many cooking shows where they featured All-Clad stainless steel products (and needing a 3-quart saucier), I went ahead and splurged on this little number. And, I will never go back to aluminum cookery again. So far, I've used it for gravies, tomato sauces, cheese sauces, etc., and it's an absolute joy to use. It heats so evenly on my gas stove, even on low heat. And, the shape is an absolute must for whisking sauces. It's also very stable and well balanced, with no tipping issues due to the long handle, even when empty. And, cleanup is a breeze. This is well worth the price and will soon become your favorite pan in the kitchen.
Excellent for delicate sauces
When it is time to make a delicate sauce, this is the pan I use. I save this small pan for melting chocolate and cooking delicate sauces that normally require a double boiler. It has a heavy bottom for slow heat transfer and curved sides for whisking the contents.
I use heat in moderation and have never burned anything in my All-Clad pans.

This pan works great for oatmeal, warming soup, and other small needs.
It cleans very well (get the Barkeepers for a great shine!)
I have had a lot of different brand name cookware, but none compares to All-Clad.
